With over thirty years experience in radio presentation, one of Jons long standing dreams has been to have his own radio station as the base for a larger, all encompassing, community project. With three successful RSLs (Restricted Service License test transmissions) under his (fast disappearing belt), his dream is quickly becoming a realistic possibility with SCR's application to OFCOM for a full time license.
The grant of a full time license will be the first steps in the making of a centre of learning for all aspects of music production from radio to recording and giving the opportunity for practical hands-on learning into the craft.
Jons encyclopedic knowledge of music is the envy of all would-be presenters. His first love is Motown / Northern Soul but his knowledge spreads far beyond this into all genres. He broadcasts this knowledge with a flowing ease missing from many main stream presenters and making the listeners feel comfortable that he is in the room with them.
